MY KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS ROOTS

I like most music; but Bluegrass is in my soul.

If you haven’t listened to Bluegrass, besides the stringed instrumentation, the vocal accompaniment is always treble - above the melody; where in most music the vocal accompaniment is usually bass – below the central melody – a strong bass component.

  1. I like bluegrass too. It's part of my fondness for old timey country music.

  3. Love Bluegrass, too, and thanks for the explanation of the vocal and instrumental. Now I know the words to explain it.

  4. Bluegrass is my favorite music. It's nice because the musicians are fairly easy to meet and converse with. I got to shake hands with the entire Seldom Scene back when John Duffey was still alive. What a thrill. And just before the Trump disaster, I met my favorite musician of all time, Sam Bush. That was a super moment, and he not only had the Kentucky drawl, but also the manners. Sweetest man ever.

COMMENT: Ben Franklin said, "I imagine a man must have a good deal of vanity who believes, and a good deal of boldness who affirms, that all doctrines he holds are true, and all he rejects are false."
