We are
living in a post truth world. A time
when people will unabashedly declare Alternative Facts. Truth is no longer
accessed by logic, but dictated by emotion.
Saying something with impact is now more important than saying something
true. When truth doesn’t matter, you
declare your truth by yelling the loudest.

I read once that Nazi Germany was the triumph of irrationality over reason. We're seeing a repeat of that now in the US.

ReplyDeleteI read the comments under Dr Richardson's daily Letters from an American, the email version. The comments are usually well informed and I learn things. Yesterday someone got off track on the evils of the livestock industry and someone else expanded on it. I do not think we will ever get the uninformed left or right to stop believing bullshit that suits their world views
