In the Texas
GOP convention’s platform, they included secession from the United States. Why not?
Texas
receives far more federal aid and moneys than they pay in taxes, so if Texas were
to secede it would decrease our Federal Deficit.
Since Texans would no longer be citizens of
the United States we could stop all Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid
payments; cease all financial programs and aid, and all U.S. government
support.
We could
finally justify a wall along our southern border, and require visas for all
Texas nationals wanting to enter our country.
We could
place tariffs on all goods coming out of Texas and all goods entering Texas –
again a windfall for our deficit spending.
We could
encourage Donald Trump to run for President of Texas, and be rid of a major threat
to our democracy.
We could do
a one-time payment for resettlement for all MAGA people wishing to become Texas
nationals.
I don’t see
any downside.
GO TEXAS
SECESSION
the
Ol’Buzzard
Would Florida be any loss either?
ReplyDeleteDavid and I would be moving if it really happens but we know it won't. There are a few really smart Gilead republicans (not holding office) who say they will make it hard for that to happen. Also, I found out that those republicans are going to vote to help turn Gilead blue in 22 and 24. I won't hold my breath but it sure would be nice if it happens.
ReplyDeleteYes, i would like to get rid of Texas. I am tired of messing around with them. But El Paso stays with us. Also the Butterfly Sanctuary, over there in the lower river valley.
ReplyDeleteThese texans are not responsible people.
Shutting down all the military bases would put a real hurting on the Tejas economy.
