ANTONIN SCALIA FOUND DEAD AT TEXAS RESORT



I know this is not zen..  not Buddhist; but I couldn't help but do a little war dance when the breaking news was announced on my computer.   I don't wish anybody dead, but sometimes you are not sorry when certain people expire - I'm of that age and could be next - but this man was a radical ideologue passed his sell by date in a position with too much authority.  

 What are the chances that the Republican Congress will allow President Obama to replace Scalia before his term is up?

    Cruz and Rubio are already getting loud about how Obama should let it slide and allow the next president to appoint Scalia's appointment. I guess the possibility of President Clinton appointing Justice Barack Obama hasn't occurred to them. Then again, Republicans have a bad habit of assuming things will always go their way.

      Meant to say appoint Scalia's replacement, of course. Guess I was too busy feeling relief that he had shuffled off this mortal coil to notice phrasing errors.

    Well, it's either Obama or Sanders to make the pick. They might just go with the devil they know. Besides, Obama has 11 months left.
