POLITICS AS USUAL

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS

Republicans will take an indefensible cause give it a patriotic name, spin it, double down, defend it with smoke and mirrors and sell it to the punters.

Democrats will take a defensible humanitarian cause; avoid defending it for fear of Republican reprisal, while trying to keep a low profile; believing that if they take no stand they can’t be accused of backing an unpopular issue during their next run for office.

I think this is definitely a Democratic politician - No stand is a good stand!
A republican would have screamed about moral depravity and invoked God and family values.

And then would have gone to the whorehouse to partake of their services while telling the madam he wasn't talking about her!!

Your definitions of the parties is right on. The Repukes will double down on the crazy and their base will too because they want a strong father-figure to tell them what to do. It's that "My country, right or wrong" bullshit.(Never did like that shit when they started it during the Vietnam War. Probably been around longer, but that's when I first noticed it.)

I remember Will Rogers saying, "I don't belong to any organized political party. I'm a Democrat!!" They are very good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory because they don't seem to want to stand up and fight the opposition because they're afraid they'll piss someone off!!

I hope to live long enough to see the FuckingRepublicans(I call them that because they have been fucking me all my life!!) become the Whigs of the 21st Century.(I'm not holding my breath.)

What's with the "1%" next to your picture??

  3. Kulkuri: 1% is an old biker term. It means against the wind - nonconformist - or outlaw.

COMMENT: Ben Franklin said, "I imagine a man must have a good deal of vanity who believes, and a good deal of boldness who affirms, that all doctrines he holds are true, and all he rejects are false."
