WINTER IS COMING AND I LOVE IT

I love it.  The high temperature tomorrow will be seventy and the low tonight forty-nine.   The trees are starting to show red and the daylight is getting shorter.

It is great to be alive right about now – this is my time of year: moving toward winter.

I still have some chores to finish up before the first snow fall, and the time to do them; meanwhile my wife starts to decorate the house to the season.

Winter is coming, along with our favorite holidays:

Thanksgiving, Halloween, fall equinox and winter solstice.

  1. If Fall stayed for the same amount of time as winter, and then we just went into spring, that would be great. How do you celebrate Fall Equinox? -Jenn

  3. Good for you!

    I will feel the same when spring is back and fall days in the high country in Colorado are real special as well.

  4. YES!!!
    Autumn is a great beginning to refresh the soul and winter's ice and snow to keep it fresh!!!

    These are my two favorite seasons...spring I tolerate...summer barely :}

    Your wife sounds a lot like me. My hubby is used to living with fall decor and my witch collections all over the kitchen. I love Halloween and Christmas~

  6. Temps here in the high 20s still. Cool at night. Everything is tinder dry as we have not had a decent rain for months. Not looking forward to winter as it is dark and damp. If it gets cold and snows that is different.
