GOOGLE CHROME DELETED

In the past I have posted on a problem that seems connected to Google Chrome. My complaint is that sometimes, when I am working off-line in Microsoft Word, my disk drive will start to whirl, things will slow down and I will get a message stating HIGH CPU USAGE BY GOOGLE CHROME.
What the hell is Google doing in my computer when I am not on the Internet? Sometimes the computer will even lock up and won’t let me shut down; and the only way I can stop the disk drive from spinning is to do an emergency shut down by holding down the On/Off key.
I have removed the program and reinstalled it before, but the problem still continues.
I like operating in Chrome as it seems faster and more efficient; but I have had it. Bye Bye Google Chrome.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I've been using Google Chrome for about a year so far and really love it. I haven't had the problem you refer to here and I'm thinking maybe you might have some kind of viral thing going on. My computer is also old - 5 years, and sometimes it'll just shut down when I move to a new tab or for no apparent reason, but it was doing that when I was still in Explorer. I'm told it is a Toshiba problem. Anyway, I have had less of these "events" since I started using Chrome.
ReplyDeleteNo problem here. I did have a similar problem with Firefox, which is why I switched to Chrome about a year ago.
ReplyDeleteAs far as an external force being on your computer...welcome to electronics in the 21st Century. It's not just Chrome doing that. I am not sure there is any escape from it.
