A BUZZARD EGG OMELET #11

Happy Easter

All right, I get it.   A twelve year old girl was impregnated by…..  and had a baby that three hundred years later was declared a god at the Council of Nicaeae.    The religion that formed from this following venerates human sacrifice and proudly displays the icons of the event (a human being cruelly tortured to death through crucifixion) as its logo.   Even more disturbing, to me, is that some sects of this religion practice ritual cannibalism, claiming to actually eat the flesh and drink the blood of this two thousand year old dead individual during their communion.

All of this I have grown up with and, though bizarre, have come to accept as part of the culture.

But the thing that I don’t understand is the egg laying rabbits.

Really – egg laying rabbits?

I’m just asking?

  4. Sarge, why would there be lightning in L'Anse, Ol'Buzzard lives in Maine.

Ol'Buzzard, if you can buy the story about a young broad getting knocked up without ever having had sex, why can't you buy the rabbit laying eggs??

  5. There must be some fundamentalist somewhere that knows the answer.. Hey, I'm just asking.

Kulkuri: I like sex without procreation, but procreation without sex would be a bummer. But the girl was only twelve. Can we add perv to the rest of God's resume?

    Again: just asking

  6. Last monday saw a sign next to a driveway in Louisiana that said
    "Yard Eggs
    Bunnies
    Rabbits"

Does this help with your conundrum?? And what is the difference between "bunnies" and "rabbits"??

  7. Great set of comments on an interesting albeit mind-numbing topic. Speaking of the Catholic Church, I have the distinct dishonor of living in Toledo Ohio whose Catholic bishop was just appointed Grand Inquisitor of the Catholic Nuns of America. Yes, this is true. He's leading the investigation of Catholic Sisters to be sure that they do not hold heretical views.

You can't make this s--t up.

COMMENT: Ben Franklin said, "I imagine a man must have a good deal of vanity who believes, and a good deal of boldness who affirms, that all doctrines he holds are true, and all he rejects are false."
