Seventeen
years ago I had a friend in Kentucky who was in his seventies and every time he
walked anywhere he farted. Privately,
I use to laugh with my wife about his fart walks.
Now I am in
my seventies and I don’t mind a bit farting when I am out in public.
This has
me thinking about old people in general and the Supreme Court in
particularly. You know Clarence Thomas
farts. Kennedy 79, Breyer 77 – they have
to have loose spinsters that come with old age; and then there is Ruth Bader
Ginsburg: don’t think that because she is a little skinny thing that she can’t
cut them.
I wonder how
often Supreme Court Justices let one slip while listening to arguments? It is bound to happen. Do they just hold their breath and try to
keep composure and demean and pretend that it didn’t happen?
Why do I
think of things like this?
