I AM SOME DISGUSTED

 

I AM SICK TO FUCKING DEATH HEARING ABOUT DONALD TRUMP

 

Especially at this point in my life, I don’t need the goddamn aggravation. 

I am an analytical person – a math and science background.   The emotional rollercoaster that Trump drags around unsettles my daily composure and is affecting my home life; and at my age, days are precious.   

Here are 5 postulates I consider as truths:

1.    Trump very well may be elected president.   The gerrymandered Electoral College could place Trump in office even though he will lose the popular vote.

2.    Trump will never go to jail.   Every judge is aware of the violence that would ensue if Trump were incarcerated – and we can’t forget the Secret Service protection issue. 

3.     Any President, regardless of party, will pardon Trump with the condition that he will never run for public office.  Trump would accept the pardon and immediately violate the condition.

4.    If Trump loses the election he will claim election fraud and anarchy will ensue.  Radicalized militia and cult followers will target Never-Trumpers and liberal government officials with threats and violence.  We may well see a replay of January 6 encouraged by Trump.

5.    If Trump wins the election the United States will no longer be a world democracy, but will rapidly move toward an authoritarian regime with the Executive Branch usurping power. 

6.    THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT.    There is nothing we can do at this point about the outcome.  Everything is already baked in.  Trump supporters are a solid block, Biden supporters are a solid block, and anyone undecided at this point is a moron and attention-seeking.   Deal with it. We will just have to wait for the outcome.

Getting steamed up about the daily machinations of Donald Trump is wasting time and bringing unnecessary stress to daily life.

Go to a good restaurant and have a delicious meal.  Go skiing – it’s wintertime up north.  It is hunting season - go enjoy the outdoors with your buds.  Have sex. But quit obsessing about Donald Trump – what will be will be. 

As far as I can see the only thing that might avert the unsettling future would be for Trump to choke on a Big Mack, have a brain aneurysm and become more of a babbling idiot than he already is, or for Melania to bite off his dick and leave a stump so small that EMTs can’t staunch the flow.
