OVERLOAD

The high temperature today was 56 degrees.   Here in western Maine color is starting to show on the trees.  Goldenrod is in full bloom waiting for the first frost which is not far away.  Today I worked on electrical wiring installing a GFCI electrical outlet in the bathroom and my wife began decorating the house for fall.

There is a lot I could post on today, but it all seems trivial in light of the hurricane damage in Texas and the never-ending outrages that is the daily behavior of the President of the United States.

  1. This has been a relatively cool summer here in New Jersey. Only three heat waves! Fall won't really arrive here until mid- to late-October. Stay warm!

  2. Here on the plain Plains, we're hitting those lower 50s at night and mid 60s to mid 70s during the day. Usually, this time of year we are blistering in the 90s. Very unusual. I'm not complaining, mind you.

  5. It's feeling like it's going to be an early Winter here in the Upper Peninsula. Leaves are definitely changing and the hummingbirds have vanished. We had a cool, wet summer, if one counts summer in terms of months on the calendar. If one counts summer as it actually feeling like summer, I think it fell on a Thursday this year.
