MAGIC

I have been as busy as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest this summer.  I won’t bore your with my to-do list, which included painting our house, relining our driveway with stone, putting away three cord of wood – plumbing – carpentry – rebuilding my snow blower etc.; but keeping physically busy has keep my computer usage (and blogging) to a minimum.

This begs the question: do we blog because we have nothing better to do, or because we have something to say?

I have an appointment this morning so I don’t have time to consider this.

But

A time for witches, a time for dancing, a time for nature, a time to celebrate the unknown and magical is upon us.

So Mote It Be!

  1. Well, my posts never really say too much of importance about anything, really, and gawd knows there are lots of things other than blogging which would be a more productive use of my time, but I just enjoy it so that's why I blog. It's relaxing and entertaining.

  2. my blog has turned into something I don't even recognize..I used to actually blog...now I find funny or deep message memes and political memes and I miss my blogging about what pisses me off, what makes me happy, events of West and my doings...I have created a monster that I keep having to feed it.

  4. I think it's all about priorities and things you prefer. Blogging will always be a priority for me. Whenever I travel or visit film festivals (two things I'm crazy about) and I don't have time to blog, I really miss it. I'll be going to Africa in two days and I'm already thinking "Hopefully, I'll find some time to write and blog when I'm there." I think it'll be different for everyone.

  6. I kind of enjoy adding a picture and whatever amusing thing Crow is up to just to add some counterbalance to the general craziness.

  7. A tough week....but my wife can see better than ever after the second cataract operation! She says she now has better vision than she has had in her entire life! The down side is that she is noticing my failed house cleaning efforts while she was laid up....how can people live like this? She never noticed the cobwebs before. I thought they were a nice halloween touch, so I am having a Halloween Party on my blog.
On Sunday, her dog, Miss Daisy decided to leave the stage in typical theatrical manner. She had the doggier equivalent of a stroke and started to have seizures that got worse and worse all day...this was the day before my wife's second cataract operation. I had to take the dog to the vet in Montignac (that's the place where the Lascaux cave is) on a Sunday night. The vet confirmed my feelings and the best thing was to end it. I spent Monday having a doggy funeral in the forest and baking a chocolate cake...I have to publish my chocolate cake recipe...it's so simple and absolutely deadly! It took me a few days to recover from all of this...I have been the 24 hour nursing staff and doing the cooking. The visit to the vet cost more than all the combined expenses for both of my wifes cataract surgeries! Vive La France! She even got free medical taxi to and from the clinic...America is the only major western country with out affordable health care for all of it's citizens. It's not a privilege, it's your right! Fight for it!
