FOR LOST IN THE BOZONE

Crum your last post Paradise Revisited brought back memories.  I spent my young years in western Kentucky.   The proud coal miners, and the destruction to both men and land by money grubbing coal executives is a real memory.   But it wasn't just then - it still goes on and is still recorded in the music of today.

  1. You are right of course. The struggle to rein in the worst of human nature is an endless task. That we are still here in my opinion has not much to with accumulating knowledge and technology; rather it is more a stroke of luck we haven't offed ourselves yet. At some point, we will be forced to confront our own stupidity or die because of it.

    Very cool tune.

And here is a peckerwood rap on the other side.

  2. There's not a state in the union that needs federal dollars worse than West Virginia, and yet there is Joe Manchin, complaining that it costs too much. His priorities are crystal clear -- unlike the water near his damn mines.

  3. I haven't seen the coal mining towns but I have seen the copper mining towns in AZ. Sad.
