I really got tired of moving snow. When we moved in the phone guy came out to hook up the phone, he pulled snowshoes out of his truck to walk on our lawn & find the phone box. We've had almost no snow in my part of Nebraska this year (so far). Even during a heavy snow year, we rarely get what you're describing here.
