I also work for a great researcher who is 95 years old and has had a marvelous life. He served in WWII as a medic. He said at his recent birthday bash that he was lucky at all the major intervals in his life and named people that made it great. Many were great researchers but most was his family including his mother who brought him to the US as a child from Poland. He is still working everyday!Mom at homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00142674421000226910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5855180793926350647.post-15787277016085109982014-11-19T11:43:48.373-05:002014-11-19T11:43:48.373-05:00we didn't have a lot of deserts...the only thi...we didn't have a lot of deserts...the only thing I remember having was a sugar sandwich..a slice of bread smeared with butter, then sugar sprinkled on it..I loved them..yellowdoggrannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14906624317290990109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5855180793926350647.post-8035610552276088002014-11-19T09:59:37.928-05:002014-11-19T09:59:37.928-05:00I have a warped mind. Would love to hear more! Our phone number when I was a kid was 365-W because we were on a party line with our neighbour, who was 365-J. Every shopping trip is a shock.
I think the value of listening to certain elders is that someone such as yourself remembers how it was and sees how it is now and that is valuable information for younger people to have so that not only can they learn from our mistakes but also so they can see the continuity in life and recognize how nothing really changes too much except for the appearance of things.
Except of course for the price of bread.
I really enjoyed this post Buzz.Rubye Jackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02511953177053448513noreply@blogger.com
