LET’S SUE THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS!

I would love to see a class action law suit against each member of the Republican Congress for malfeasance.

Congressional Republicans wasted the Nations time and money voting 48 times to repeal The Affordable Health Care Act, knowing full well that the proposal was impossible to pass with a Democratic controlled Senate and a Democratic President holding a veto.

They shut down the government causing a downgrading of the US world financial standing knowing full well that their effort was for naught.

They caused serious damage to the nation over a partisan frivolity.  They did not act in the best interest of the electorate, the Nation, nor did they uphold the oath of the position they were elected.

Congress persons do have every right to bring to the floor bills asking for a symbolic vote opposing any law or government action; however, 48 votes on a proposal that can not pass is misuse of public power and position. Shutting down the government and allowing the Government to default on the faith and credit of our Nation and at the same time disrupting the pays and obligations to government workers and federal programs over partisan frivolity is malfeasance.

Would that we could…

  1. Most Americans have no idea which party controls which house of congress, let alone what they do...all they know is what ever it is they don't like it. My quote of the day for yesterday was from Winston Churchill, and though I am not a fan of his in the least, I have to give him credit for this, "The Best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter."

  2. You have to always look on the positive side, after the Hobby Lobby Supreme Court Decision, the Hobby Lobby guys are taking out full page spreads in papers insisting that Christianity is the only true teacher of morality and provider of law and that the founding fathers agreed.

But an opportunity for would be religious tyrants is an opportunity for all and I think it's time for me to assert my own religious freedom by filing suit with the country so that I don't have to pay that part of my taxes that supports any kind of education. Because as my religious leaders, Pink Floyd sang, "We don't need no education!" As Justice Bader-Gisnberg suggested, every man is now his own religion. I won't pay part of my Sales taxes that support executions, of my Federal taxes that support invasions of other countries. It's against my religion.

And what is my religion? Well that's my business because the government doesn't get to say one is real and another isn't. I invite you to enter into the blessed Holy Assembly of Velocitarians. Our scriptures are short and simple:

    Get your motor running
    Head out on the highway.

We demand exemption from speed limits and most traffic laws. That's my religion - what's yours?
